I love beautiful photographs of people. A moment captured artfully lasts many lifetimes, and I think that is magical.My style is massively candid. My goal is to create beautiful art, and this happens best when people are doing things - not pretending to be doing things! I pose people in terms of framing them in a location.. you may not have been planning on walking along the beach or scaling a hill, that can be the extent of the posing done, the rest happens when you glance back to make sure your partner is ok, a little smile when you move the hair off your face. The little looks that you don’t see yourself doing, but my camera does. I of course position people in group photographs so the picture is balanced, and will guide you if you are very shy in front of camera. Like me! I am fantastic with grooms who don’t feel comfortable with having their picture taken.. hundreds of times! I was one of them! I am all over the place.. I’m up, I’m down, I am all around finding the best angle. I love the fall off of light, the tones found in different shades and lights. I don’t stick to one single editing characteristic, as much as I love certain looks - I try to put a little of everything in there so to have different colours, fairy tale bright pictures as well as dark and dramatic. I love sharp, crystal images that make people seem alive in the image, exploding out from the background. I started my career in events as a musician. I have been blessed to witness over 1000 weddings in the past 17 years. I live and breathe weddings, it is me at my very best surrounded by love and joy. I find taking great pictures to be the most rewarding thing I have ever done (when I’m not chasing my little girl around!).
