I am a Humanist Celebrant based in Staffordshire, but happy to travel. It's hard trying to describe a typical humanist ceremony as, by definition, each one is completely unique. There are no rules! That said, all humanist ceremonies are:Unique: There is no set script to follow. I will work with you to write a bespoke ceremony. Non-religious: My ceremonies focus on what matters in 'the one life we have' our relationships with those we love and what we value. Personal: The focus is you and your love story. Tailored: I will make sure the mood, content and tone are exactly what you want. Collaborative: My role is to work with you to create the perfect celebration for you. Flexible: It is for you to decide where and when the ceremony is to be held. Sincere: there is nothing that has to be included or words that have to be said. Every word will be true to you and your values. Approved: You will have the opportunity to read and feedback on the draft of your ceremony. It is your day and you decide when the service is just right for you. Most of my couples are not Humanists but are just looking for the freedom a celebrant led wedding allows them. I charge £650 to create and deliver your celebration (plus travel expenses). My fee includes all meetings, a dress rehearsal, unlimited changes to your script and any rituals that you would like included such as sand blending or handfasting. I will also leave you with a presentation copy of your script as a keepsake.
